Job Description
- Install, configure, and upgrade Tableau Server and related components.
- Manage server performance, security, and scalability to ensure optimal uptime and responsiveness.
- Perform regular backups, upgrades, and maintenance of the Tableau environment
- Manage Tableau users, groups, and permissions.
- Enforce governance policies to maintain data security and compliance.
- Monitor user activity and audit access logs to ensure compliance.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and fine-tune Tableau dashboards and reports.
- Optimize server configurations and resources to handle concurrent usage and large datasets.
- Work closely with business analysts, data engineers, and end-users to understand requirements and ensure proper delivery of reports and dashboards.
- Provide training and support to Tableau users on best practices and advanced functionalities.
- Set up monitoring tools to track server health, utilization, and potential bottlenecks.
- Generate and present reports on Tableau performance metrics and usage statistics.
- Assist in the development and deployment of complex dashboards and data visualizations.
- Provide guidance on Tableau development standards, including efficient data modeling and design.
Experience :
- 6+ years of experience in Tableau Server administration.
- Hands-on experience in managing Tableau Desktop and Tableau Server environments.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Tableau Server architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of data sources, data integration, and SQL.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is a plus.
- Understanding of networking, authentication protocols (SSO, LDAP), and security standards.
