Job Description
Logistics Manager
Role & responsibilities
Customs & Export Incentives: Manage customs drawback systems and export documentation, ensuring compliance with export incentives such as duty drawback, DEEC, and DFRC schemes.
Import & Export Operations: Oversee the import of materials and export logistics, ensuring smooth customs clearance, accurate tariff classification, and timely delivery of goods.
Logistics & Shipping Coordination: Coordinate container planning, finalize contracts with shipping lines, airlines, and consolidation agents, and manage export/import logistics to optimize costs and transit times.
Regulatory Compliance: Liaise with government authorities (DGFT, RBI, DGCA, Customs) for import licenses, compliance with import policies, and to ensure adherence to INCOTERMS.
Project Imports & Cargo Management: Supervise over-dimensional cargo and capital goods imports, ensuring smooth project logistics and timely delivery.
Bank & Financial Coordination: Organize bank follow-ups for Letters of Credit and ensure the accurate processing of documents through the Accounts department.
Government Liaison: Work closely with government bodies and regulatory agencies such as Port Trust, Airport Authorities, and Export Credit Guarantee Corporation of India to ensure smooth export and import processes.
Logistics & Supply Chain Management: Manage export logistics for international markets like USA, China, Europe, and South Africa, ensuring efficient movement of goods and materials.
Preferred candidate profile
Education: PG diploma in International Trade / PG diploma in Material Management
18+ years of experience in export-import operations, logistics management, or customs clearance.
Strong knowledge of EXIM policies, tariff classification, and INCOTERMS.
Proven experience in handling export benefits like duty drawback, DEEC, and EPCG schemes.
Expertise in customs clearance, filing Bills of Entry, and export documentation.
Excellent communication and liaisoning skills with government bodies such as DGFT, Customs and RBI.
Experience in managing global logistics operations across regions like USA, Europe, and Asia.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead teams, manage projects, and optimize supply chain operations.
