- SEDEMAC Mechatronics Limited Test Engineer, Systems Engineering Job Description System Engineering team in SEDEMAC is responsible for translating in-house developed technologies into globally relevant products. The job position is in systems team developing EV motor controllers and chargers. A System Test Engineer is expected to ensure products being developed are validated to meet functional requirements, sustain intended environmental conditions, comply to regulatory requirements. Candidate would be working on multiple products and would be involved in all stages of product development. with responsibilities being: Major Responsibilities: Analyse customer requirements to support product owner to evaluate implications on product to be developed & sign-off validation plan Perform hands-on testing of sub-modules / incremental design features to provide feedback for design iterations Derive detailed test case specification, plan for required test rigs/setups Perform functional testing for system release and sample dispatch Coordinate with validation team for environmental test execution Communicate failures, support in analysis & regression testing of corrective actions Define test cases for automated end-of-line testing during mass production Analyse different standards (e.g. ISO, IEC) and certifications (e.g. AIS, CE, UL) relevant to applications / markets of interests Based on candidate interest and capability, role would be broadened to include application engineering responsibilities like customer demos, debug activities at customer locations. Technical Skills and Experience: Good understanding of concepts of electronics. EV motor controllers and chargers include technologies across domains (electronics, thermals, mechanical, controls etc.) and hence willingness to comprehend concepts across domains would be key attribute for long term growth at SEDEMAC Operational familiarity with instruments such as oscilloscope, power supplies, function generators, CAN loggers etc Excellent communication skills to be able to interact with CFT team Excellent documentation skills to be able to maintain records of all work products like specifications, failures, validation reports, industry standards, etc Experience in EV domain Operational familiarity with motor dyno or chassis dyno Experience with MATLAB Soft Skills : Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work with a cross-functional team. Sense of ownership and urgency when working in the company. Strong sense of ethics.
