Job Purpose
The position is that of Category Head - Luxury Home Dcor which will include categories like Tableware, Barware, Textile, Ceramics, Antiques, Vintage Objects, Carpets, etc. Role will involve seamless operation of sales activities in store within a luxury retail showroom and fulfilling sales objectives by leading a team of executives/sales representative. This multifaceted position involvesa strong understanding of luxury home dcor categories, a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and skills to manage and train a team to deliver the sales goals. The job profile will also include coordination with international and national home dcor brands and artisans, leading partnerships and providing administrative support to achieve sales.
Primary Responsibilities
Operational excellence
Connect with customers/AIDs in-store, providing personalized assistance and guidance throughout the shopping experience.
Understand customers needs and preferences to recommend suitable options within multiple categories.
Conduct product presentations to showcase collection and provide solutions to drive sales.
Follow up with customers to answer questions, address concerns and finalize the sales transactions.
Maintain strong relationships with clients/AIDs to ensure repeat business.
Maintain thorough knowledge of our product offerings, including materials, finishes, customization possibilities, etc.
Convert online leads into sales through follow-up, product presentations, etc.
Responsibilities in store
Train a team of executives to deliver operational excellence and convert leads into sales.
Keep the showroom organized and visually appealing ensuring that the displays are well maintained and up to date.
Maintain well-organized data base of quotations, references, enquiries from clients/AIDs and ensure timely follow-ups through team
Lead the Sales team to meet and exceed sales targets to contribute to the success of the home dcor category and consequently the retail showroom.
Brand Coordination
Act as a liaison between the company and international or national home dcor brands and artisans
Scout new brands/artisans and lead partnerships.
Facilitate communication for order processing and brand related queries.
Ensure adherence to brand guidelines and quality service through sales & marketing.
Administrative Support
Understand and train staff on internal company processes along with product knowledge.
Together with the management team, establish monthly/weekly targets for the store and individual team members.
Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key performance metrics, achievements, and challenges.
Team Management & Training
Provide ongoing training to enhance product knowledge and design solutions.
Lead the Sales team to meet and exceed sales targets.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
Client and AID Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships within the organization and with AIDs and/or potential clients.
Act as a knowledgeable point of contact addressing inquiries and facilitating design discussions.
