Role & responsibilities
Responsible for the overall success of the quality management system (QMS) in operations assigned to him/her. This person develops, implements, maintains, improves and ensures consistency of program level processes associated with the quality management system(s) supporting the segments policies and objectives. Technical leadership of quality personnel reporting to them.
Principle Responsibilities:
1. Maintain in-depth knowledge of the operations products and services including:
2. Be aware of organizational status and the documents and methods applicable to each group within the operation; as they affect the quality of products and services.
3. Ensure processes needed for the QMS are established implemented and maintained in his/her operation(s).
4. QMS Continuous improvement within their area of responsibility
5. Working with staff on establishing overall best practices and training needed to maintain a high level of awareness of meeting/exceeding within his/her operation
6. Monitor the QMS to identify opportunities for improvement and/or more cost-effective ways to implement the processes.
7. Conducting internal audits of his/her operation.
8. Implementation of the Action System.
9. Reporting to operation top management and the Quality Operations Manager on the performance of the QMS and any need for improvement.
10. May manage Quality Assistants within his/her program.
11. Operation Level QMS Document Sign-off
12. Manage the operation level QMS activities as outlined in the applicable processes.
13. Maintain the appropriate operation(s) records associated his/her responsibilities.
14. Under the direction of the Local Management Representative, implement solutions that directly affect the quality management of the operation.
15. Support, mentor and train personnel at the operation(s) on QMS responsibilities and requirements.
16. Work cooperatively with segment level quality management on implementing segment level requirements at the operation level.
17. Operation focal for the registrar and customers.
18. Coordinate external audit activities with the registrar or customer.
19. Work closely with each level management to implement solutions related to quality assurance.
20. Technical leadership and development of personnel reporting to him/her.
21. Reviews time tickets, conducts yearly performance reviews, and documents salary actions for personnel reporting to him/her.
22. Other duties, as assigned.
Preferred candidate profile
A. Education: BTech/B.E. degree or equivalent experience supporting an engineering firm.
B. Experience: Minimum two (3) years of supporting or conducting activities in support of a quality management system.
C. Skills: Ability to effectively communicate and be persuasive with people. Good verbal and written skills. Excellent Computer Skills. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power Point.
