Fire Fighting Engineer/MEP Engineer @ Versatile Technolabs

Job Description

Role & responsibilities:-

• Supervise and coordinate the installation of fire fighting systems (sprinklers, hydrants, FM200, CO2, water mist, etc.).
• Review project specifications, drawings, and materials to ensure compliance with NFPA, local fire codes, and standards.
• Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control throughout the installation phase.
• Perform and oversee testing and commissioning of fire protection systems, including functional performance testing.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during installation and commissioning phases.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and local authorities (e.g., Civil Defense) for inspections and approvals.
• Prepare and submit method statements, inspection reports, and test reports.
• Ensure adherence to HSE guidelines and safe work practices on-site.
• Train end-users or client personnel on system operation and maintenance, if required.

Preferred candidate profile :-

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 27 years of experience in fire fighting system installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, local fire protection standards, and MEP coordination.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
• Hands-on experience with pressure testing, flow testing, and system integration.
• Good communication and reporting skills.
• Certification in fire protection (e.g., NFPA, Civil Defense approval) is a plus.
