Job Description
Role & responsibilities
We are looking to hire a Lighting Designer who will be able to undertake lighting designs using AGI32 Software in order to achieve compliance with the relevant building codes & standards. This job opportunity requires a person to possess a technical as well as creative mindset with great attention to detailed drawing & documentation work.
Primary tasks of the successful candidate would involve:
- Understanding project briefs received from clients,
- Going through project drawings RCPs, Sections, Elevations, Electrical/Lighting, Satellite Imagery etc.
- Working on 2-D drawings using AutoCAD
- Understanding & applying relevant building codes & standards in order to achieve design compliance,
- Gaining lighting products knowledge in order to select the right product for the right space
- Undertaking lighting designs for all types of lighting projects whether interior or exterior, using AGI32 Software primarily
Secondary tasks may include:
- Undertaking lighting designs using Dialux
- Creating presentations showcasing lighting effects using Adobe Photoshop
- Researching & reporting on the market with latest trends & products in lighting
- Liaising with suppliers to gather information on their products
- Visiting sites to collect, collate information & prepare audit reports
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Experience: Suitable candidate shall have minimum 2-year experience in lighting design. Candidates with higher experience shall be preferred.
- Education: Candidate should have completed one of the following with good marks
- B.Tech. / B.E. / B.Arch. / Diploma Architecture/Interior Design / B.Sc. Physics
- M.Tech / Masters in Illumination / Lighting Design will be preferred.
3. Softwares:
- Good working knowledge of AGI32, Dialux & AutoCAD softwares is a must.
- Practical knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Revit or Google Sketchup will be an added benefit
