Job Description
Role & responsibilities
The SAP APO PPDS Consultant will be responsible for providing expert advice and implementation support for the SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (APO) Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS) module. The role involves end-to-end solution delivery, covering business analysis, configuration, testing, and user support for APO PPDS functionalities in complex supply chain environments.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze client requirements and design SAP APO PPDS solutions to meet production planning and scheduling needs.
- Configure SAP APO PPDS, including master data, heuristics, optimization, and alert monitoring.
- Integration with other APO modules such as SNP (Supply Network Planning) and DP (Demand Planning), as well as SAP ERP systems.
- Design and implement Production Planning strategies using heuristics, finite scheduling, and optimization tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of APO PPDS with other SAP modules like SAP MM, PP, and SD.
- Conduct workshops, gather business requirements, and translate them into SAP configuration and technical designs.
- Support system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and go-live activities, including data migration and cutover planning.
- Provide post-go-live support and troubleshoot issues in PPDS and related supply chain processes.
- Offer recommendations to optimize production scheduling, reduce lead times, and improve on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement enhancements for process improvements.
- Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in SAP APO modules, particularly PPDS.
- Experience with SNP (Supply Network Planning) and DP (Demand Planning) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling processes.
- Hands-on experience in SAP configuration and integration with ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Familiarity with S/4HANA and related modules is desirable.
