Senior Network Engineer @ Walmart

A Senior Network Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining an organization s network infrastructure. They ensure network security, optimize performance, and troubleshoot complex issues. This role requires expertise in networking protocols, hardware, and security best practices.

• Design and deploy functional networks, including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and cloud-based networks.
• Configure and install network hardware (routers, switches, etc).
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network solutions with business applications.

• Core Network Infrastructure skills including Network (Routing, Switching, DNS,Security),
• Netflow Analytics,
• Sonic, Cisco IOS, Nexus OS and Arista OS knowledge.
• Expertise on Vlan,Ether channel,Rstp,Spanning tree protocol.
• Thorough understanding of Tcp ip,Subnet mask,Lan,Wan
• Experience of working on Internet Routing protocols such as BGP,OSPF,IGP, IP VPN and EIGRP
• Indepth knowledge of SNMP,Syslogs,Net flow
• SD-WAN, L3 VPN and Multicast experience preferred
• Knowledge on Network, Automation and service management tools like Grafana,GIT,Wireshark,jira, ServiceNow etc,

Minimum Qualifications... Minimum Qualifications:Option 1: Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, electrical engineering, or related area and 3 years experience in large-scale networking environments or related area.Option 2: 5 years experience in large scale networking environments or related area. Preferred Qualifications... Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or related area and 1 year experience in large scale networking environments or related area.
