What Youll Do
We are looking for a Senior Manager to lead the Property Tax Managed Services India Team. The Senior Manager will be responsible for defining strategic objectives, ensuring operational efficiency, and managing hiring and resource allocation. This role requires a focus on innovation, process improvement, and alignment with Avalara s global priorities.

What Your Responsibilities Will Be
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Property Tax teams in India, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the performance and scalability of teams, ensuring deadlines and SLAs are consistently met.
  • Handle hiring, workforce planning, and resource allocation to optimize team capacity.
  • Drive innovation by identifying and implementing process improvements, including automation initiatives.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Avalara Property Tax leadership, representing the Managed Services function in strategic discussions.
  • Foster collaboration between teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Mentor managers and foster a high-performance, innovative team culture.

What Youll Need to be Successful evant Work Experience
10+ years of leadership experience in property tax, compliance operations, with a focus on strategic oversight and resource planning.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; Master s degree preferred.
Technical Skills
  • Expertise in strategic planning, resource management, and operational scalability.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvements and drive efficiency.
  • Strong understanding of jurisdictional requirements in property tax compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with SaaS-based solutions or large-scale tax operations.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving collaborative initiatives.
Soft Skills
Must-Have :
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Adaptability, problem-solving capabilities, and initiative.
  • Ability to mentor and lead diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working with global teams and aligning operations with strategic objectives.
  • Ability to identify potential compliance risks and implement controls to mitigate them.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and customer success, to drive shared goals.
Good-to-Have :
  • Experience with Product based company.
  • Experience with SaaS based solutions.
