We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Automation Tester to lead our QA team and drive high-quality software releases through robust automated testing practices. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated testing frameworks while mentoring a team of QA professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the QA team, providing guidance, technical support, and best practices in automated testing.
Collaborate with development, product, and DevOps teams to ensure test coverage, quality, and timely delivery.
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using tools like Selenium and Pytest.
Execute and manage both manual and automated test cases for web and API testing.
Review and analyze system specifications, product requirements, and technical documentation.
Identify, document, and track defects, and verify issue resolutions across environments.
Perform post-release and post-implementation testing to ensure system stability.
Continuously improve QA processes and introduce new tools and technologies where applicable.
Provide regular reporting and metrics on testing progress, defect status, and quality health.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Proven experience (5+ years) in QA Automation Testing, with at least 1+ years in a leadership or mentoring role.
Strong expertise in Selenium for automated web testing, including handling elements, waits, and implementing Page Object Models.
Proficiency in Python with Pytest for writing scalable and maintainable test scripts using fixtures and parameterization.
Solid understanding of API Testing (RESTful services, HTTP methods, status codes, authentication).
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience in regression, integration, and performance testing.
Working knowledge of test management tools (e.g., Zephyr, qTest) and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira).
Proficiency in SQL for data validation and backend testing.
Ability to document and troubleshoot errors efficiently with a strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
