Technical Lead - Java @ Avalara

Job Description

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software design.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP): hands-on experience with C#, Java, or JavaScript , with an understanding of OOP principles, design patterns, and best practices.
• Approach problems from multiple perspectives, evaluate different solutions by weighing pros and cons, troubleshoot critical production issues to minimize downtime.
• API Development & Data Interchange: Solid experience with developing, and consuming RESTful APIs , working with data interchange formats such as JSON and XML , and ensuring seamless system integration.
• Cloud & DevOps Expertise: Practical experience with AWS services (such as EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and IAM) and managing CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or AWS Code Pipeline to ensure efficient and automated software deployment.
• Database Management: Hands-on experience with relational databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle , including query optimization, database design, indexing strategies, and ensuring data integrity and performance.
