The Senior Manager , IT Application Development ( Sr. Manager , IT App Dev ) is a senior role reporting into the Director o f IT . Sr. Manager , IT App Dev drives , and provides work direction to Software Developers , in design ing and build ing Frontend (UX/UI), Backend ( server-side Integration/Processing) , Automation (bots and Intelligent Virtual Assistants), Data Services , and/or Integration Platform as a Service ConvergeOne (C1) soft ware . Sr. Manager , IT App Dev identifies/confirms and prioritizes requirements, drives the technical design, and manages a team of C1 developers and contractors in the coding and Continuous I ntegration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) of C1 software. Sr. Manager , IT App Dev will in some cases undertake coding of complex services and will lead development sprints and daily standup meetings.
Required Qualifications
Minimum BSEE/CS or equivalent mix of education and experience
1 5 + Years Experience and In-Depth Knowledge with Telephony and Customer Experience Management (CX) technologies and Application Development
10+ Years Experience and In-Depth Knowledge of Lean/Agil e Development Methodologies, and PLM
Ability to lead a diverse group of developers and contractors using current/next generation methodologies, programming languages, architectures, etc.
Hands-on knowledge of current generation programming languages such as Node.js, Angular JS, Python, Full-stack Java, and services such as GitHub
Hands-on experience with RESTful APIs and other APIs for integrating C1 products with multiple vendors platforms
Ability to design, develop, test, and troubleshoot the solution for proof s of concepts on latest technologies.
Desired /Preferred Qualifications
Hands-on experience with development languages
Deep technical understanding of Application Programming Inte rfaces , enterprise application software
T echnical understanding of building platforms based on a microservices architecture and deployment methods such as Kubernetes
Experience with Big Data analytics platforms
Essential Functions
D esign s and develop s software incorporating leading-edge concepts for C1 software products of new f eatures for assigned IT CORE products per the product roadmap(s) and continuous requirements definition
Design s and develop s custom features for IT CORE products
Wor k s with other C1 IT teams , implementation c utover and support for new IT CORE products, features, and customizations
P rovide Tier 2/ 3/4 Day2 services including troubleshooting, diagnosis, and bug fixes for assigned IT CORE software products
Manage s /provide s work direction for the software development team including Software Developers, Senior Software Developers, c ontractors, and others carrying out tasks associated with the above Essential Functions building, testing and cutting-over new products, features, and customizations for the assigned IT CORE products
Assemble s requirements for new features for the product roadmap for assigned IT CORE products where t hese requirements come from a variety of sources including customers, C1 sales, industry/competitive trends and internal ideation
Update s and maintain s IT CORE product technical documentation and code repositories
P articipate s in the support of the presales process for assigned IT CORE products
