Job Description
Job Purpose:
To assist in the efficient handling, receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, tools, and finished goods, ensuring accurate inventory control and smooth material flow to production units.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, inspect, and verify materials (raw material, components, consumables) against purchase orders and delivery challans.
Maintain accurate stock records in ERP systems (SAP, Tally, etc.).
Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and storage of materials as per FIFO/FEFO methods.
Issue materials to production as per Material Requisition Slips (MRS) or BOM requirements.
Conduct regular physical stock verification and assist in monthly/quarterly stock audits.
Monitor and maintain minimum and maximum stock levels.
Coordinate with Purchase, Production, and Quality teams for timely availability of materials.
Ensure safe storage practices and compliance with 5S and safety standards.
Generate reports: stock status, slow-moving items, near-expiry, etc.
Assist in the disposal/scrapping process of rejected or obsolete items as per company policy.
Key Skills Required:
Knowledge of inventory management principles and systems.
Familiarity with ERP software (SAP, Epicor, Tally, etc.).
Understanding of sheet metal parts and material specifications (preferred).
Basic knowledge of GST, documentation, and inward/outward processes.
Good organizational and communication skills.
Attention to detail and problem-solving attitude.
