Junior NodeJS Developer @ Syngenta

Job Description

• Developing high-performance applications by writing testable, reusable, and efficient code by taking end-to-end ownership of development
• Participates in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including the analysis, design, test, and integration of products
• Ensuring optimal performance of the central database and responsiveness to front-end requests
• Troubleshooting interface software and debugging application codes.
• Ability to work in an Agile /SCRUM environment
• Strong team player

• Must have ~2+ years of hands-on experience as a developer (NodeJS)
• Extensive knowledge of core concepts on JavaScript, ES6+ concepts, TypeScript, web stacks, libraries, and frameworks in relation with NodeJS
• Database solutions such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis, Mongo / DynamoDB, etc.
• Strong in Object Oriented Programming concepts
• Excellent troubleshooting skills. Knowledge with RESTful APIs / GraphQL APIs
• Experience with tools such as Node.js, NPM/Yarn, Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
• A knack for benchmarking and optimization and writing clean/maintainable code.
• Experience with code versioning tools like GIT.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) using Jest or similar testing framework.
