Job Description
Role Purpose: To design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance data warehouse solutions that enable robust analytics and reporting across the organization. The role involves managing end-to-end data workflows, optimizing data storage, and ensuring data quality and reliability across cloud and on-prem environments
Example Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes using AWS services and traditional RDBMS tools.
- Develop and maintain data models and procedural logic using Glue, or Lambda or Python in Amazon Redshift and Athena.
- Hands-on experience with using orchestration tools like step functions or MWAA (Managed Workflow for Apache Airflow)
- Integrate and manage data from various sources including S3, Glue, EC2, and other AWS components.
- Support and enhance reporting infrastructure using tools such as PowerBI and SSRS.
- Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to support business insights and reporting needs.
- Participate in database migration projects from on-premise to AWS environments.
- Develop and deploy Lambda functions and maintain infrastructure scripts.
- Troubleshoot and monitor data workflows using tools like Datadog and MWAA.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data warehouse development and operations.
- Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, building data products and performance tuning
Great to have Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog.
- PowerBI reporting knowledge.
- Unix/Linux scripting experience.
- Exposure to Bitbucket and Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA).
- Prior involvement in cloud migration projects, especially from on-prem databases to AWS.
