Job Description

Role Purpose: To design, develop, and maintain scalable and high-performance data warehouse solutions that enable robust analytics and reporting across the organization. The role involves managing end-to-end data workflows, optimizing data storage, and ensuring data quality and reliability across cloud and on-prem environments
Example Responsibilities:
  • Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and ETL processes using AWS services and traditional RDBMS tools.
  • Develop and maintain data models and procedural logic using Glue, or Lambda or Python in Amazon Redshift and Athena.
  • Hands-on experience with using orchestration tools like step functions or MWAA (Managed Workflow for Apache Airflow)
  • Integrate and manage data from various sources including S3, Glue, EC2, and other AWS components.
  • Support and enhance reporting infrastructure using tools such as PowerBI and SSRS.
  • Collaborate with BI and analytics teams to support business insights and reporting needs.
  • Participate in database migration projects from on-premise to AWS environments.
  • Develop and deploy Lambda functions and maintain infrastructure scripts.
  • Troubleshoot and monitor data workflows using tools like Datadog and MWAA.
Experience and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in data warehouse development and operations.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, building data products and performance tuning
Great to have Experience and Qualifications:
  • Experience with monitoring tools like Datadog.
  • PowerBI reporting knowledge.
  • Unix/Linux scripting experience.
  • Exposure to Bitbucket and Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA).
  • Prior involvement in cloud migration projects, especially from on-prem databases to AWS.
