DevOps Engineer @ UST

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
  
• Implement and manage scalable and secure deployments on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  
• Collaborate with development, QA, and infrastructure teams to streamline software delivery and deployment processes.
  
• Monitor infrastructure, optimize system performance, and manage incident response related to DevOps pipelines and platforms.
  
• Maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
  
• Ensure robust version control, build, and deployment standards across all environments.
  
• Manage container orchestration platforms including AKS, ensuring high availability and security.
  
• Integrate automated testing, static code analysis, and security scanning into CI/CD workflows.
  
• Create and maintain documentation for systems, processes, and configurations.
  

Must-Have Skills:

• Azure DevOps (Pipelines, Repos, Artifacts, Boards)
  
• GitHub Actions (Advanced workflows and automation)
  
• Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline design and automation
  
• Proficiency in Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and container orchestration
  
• Experience with Docker, Helm, and YAML configuration
  
• Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Bash, or Python)
  
• Solid understanding of Git and branching strategies
  
• Experience in deploying microservices and managing release cycles in agile environments
  

Good-to-Have Skills:

• Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates
  
• Monitoring & logging tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK stack)
  
• Security and compliance best practices for cloud infrastructure
  
• Experience with Service Mesh (e.g., Istio, Linkerd)
  
• Familiarity with Azure Networking and Identity Management (AAD)
  
• Knowledge of cost optimization strategies in Azure
  
• Exposure to multi-cloud environments (AWS, GCP)
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  
• Azure Certifications (e.g., AZ-400: Microsoft DevOps Engineer Expert) are a plus.
