Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Fabric Data Engineer to lead agile, lab-style development efforts in collaboration directly with business stakeholders. This is a senior-level role requiring deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric, data engineering, and a solid understanding of business intelligence practices. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can independently develop data solutions, rapidly prototype, and iterate based on business feedback.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy data pipelines and solutions within Microsoft Fabric.
• Collaborate closely with business users to rapidly develop and iterate on data-driven prototypes.
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications and scalable data models.
• Build and manage Dataflows, Lakehouses, Pipelines, and Notebooks in Fabric.
• Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance across solutions.
• Support data visualization needs and basic BI reporting (Power BI or equivalent).
• Maintain thorough documentation of processes, architectures, and models.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering with a focus on Azure services.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric (including Lakehouse, Data Factory (Pipelines), Notebooks, etc.).
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and Power Query/M.
• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing, ETL/ELT, and Lakehouse architecture.
• Experience working in agile, business-facing development environments.
• Familiarity with Power BI and building foundational reports/dashboards.
