Senior Database Architect @ Betsol

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Architect to lead the
design, development, and optimisation of enterprise-grade database systems. The ideal
candidate will have deep expertise in relational and NoSQL databases and a strong knowledge of
data modeling, database performance tuning, and the ability to architect scalable and
secure data platforms that support business-critical applications.

Responsibilities
Architect scalable, secure, and high-performing database solutions to meet
business and application requirements.
Collaborate with software architects, developers, and DevOps engineers to design
and implement database strategies.
Lead database design sessions and establish data modeling standards across
teams.
Evaluate and select appropriate database technologies based on application needs
(relational vs. NoSQL, cloud vs. on-prem).
Conduct capacity planning, monitoring, and proactive performance optimisation.
Oversee data migration, backup, and recovery strategies.
Implement and enforce best practices for data security, integrity, and governance.
Mentor junior DBAs and developers, conduct design/code reviews, and support
development teams.
