Job Description
Engagement with GSTN would be on contract basis. The contract would be of 2 years which is further extendable upto 1 year.
Role : Senior Consultant - Analytics
Reporting to : Senior Vice President/Vice President - BIFA
Experience : More than 15 years of post-qualification experience in Finance, Banking, Insurance or IT sectors.
Location : New Delhi
Role Description:
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Consultant Analytics with an extensive background in data science, machine learning and strategic analytics implementation in taxation/financial services/banking sectors. The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of experience in developing scalable ML solutions, designing risk assessment frameworks and leading business transformation through analytics. This role demands an understanding of financial data analytics as well as the ability to manage cross-functional teams and drive data-driven strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Analytics Strategy & Implementation:
- Lead development and execution of analytics initiatives to solve complex business problems, using ML-driven models and advanced statistical techniques.
2. Machine Learning & Model Governance:
- Design, build, deploy and scale machine learning models for risk assessment, fraud detection and revenue forecasting. Manage model validation and maintenance, ensuring governance compliance.
3. Drive BI solutions to analyse data, applying modelling and business rules and arrive at policy inferences.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership:
- Collaborate with business leaders, data engineering teams and external consultants. Provide leadership and mentorship to analytics teams.
- Co-ordination with various committees and analysis of data received for the committee meetings.
5. Training & Best Practices:
- Promote reusable coding practices, data governance and knowledge sharing across teams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Economics or a related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in BFSI or IT sectors with strong domain knowledge in financial sector.
- Hands-on expertise in Python, SQL etc.
- Proven record of implementing ML-based strategies and BI systems at scale.
- Excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage high-impact projects.
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience in leading digital transformation initiatives in financial organizations.
- Ability to manage stakeholder expectations and drive strategic data initiatives.
