Job Description
A hands on IT operations resource who will be responsible for ensuring for assisting the continued, efficient and effective operations of GST system that includes applications, middleware platforms, Operating Systems (Primarily Unix, Mac and Windows) and underlying hardware.
The role holder would also support the VP Operations in supporting all business systems and processes including ERP, systems and infrastructure,network, end-user and data centers. Leader will also Establish the operations as per the ITIL processes and governance Framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Extensive experience with hands on experience on managing data centers (Network, Servers, Storage, Security).
- Knowledge on various hardware/devices, OS and their life cycle management.
- Continued running and operation of applications, middleware and infrastructure (including DC/ DR) on an ongoing basis of GST system.
- Work on capacity Planning of the existing applications and infrastructure.
- Established Operational controls and framework with the IT partner and their operations team
- Track the changes for infra, middleware and applications and monitor adherence to Change Management Process.
- Be responsible for 24X7 availability of all DC and DR to facilitate smooth operations of the Technology Division
- Follow ITIL procedures and practices and also help in improving operational efficiency of the applications and infrastructure developed and implemented in the organization.
- Collaborate with IT partner s operations team to ensure continuous operations and availability of the GST portal.
- Suggest and implement risk mitigation procedures to reduce downtime of GST portal
- Be responsible for the complete documentations of system configurations and transfer of knowledge from the System Integrators to the GSTN Team to ensure upkeep and maintenance of the developed applications and infrastructure
- Develop mechanisms for obtaining feedback on the functioning of IT services in the organisation and ensure timely resolution of user queries as per defined Organisational guidelines
- Monitor and report on the adherence to agreed SLA to ensure effective functioning of the Operations
- Ensure regular reporting via dashboards, MIS and tool reports to the Leadership Team and other stakeholders on the functioning of the applications and infrastructure in the organization
- Experience managing IT departmental budgets, staffing plans and provide inputs to the overall budget from operations and maintenance standpoint during internal budgeting exercise
- Experience managing a portfolio of partners, vendors and service providers.
Key Attributes & Skills:
- Bachelors/Master in Engineering or Computer Applications or MBA (IT) or equivalent professional degree with relevant 7-10 Years of Experience.
- Hands on experience with Data Center Techologies Network, Servers, Storage and Security.
- Must be cloud certified Professional (AWS/Microsoft/Google) anyone.
- CCNA Trained/Certified preferred.
- DevOps Trained/Certified preferred.
- Must be certified in ITIL basic and preferably be a practitioner in Service operations
- Knowledge of any flavor of Unix/Unix Based Systems and applications
- Knowledge of system administration and Infrastructure architecture design principles
- Should have experience in troubleshooting issues arising out of Network, Systems or applications.
- Strong fundamentals of OSI model and TCP/IP stack on Systems
- Experience on handling OpenSource Software systems like OpenLdap, WebServers (Apache, nGnix, etc)
- Experience of being part of agile and responsive team consisting of IT/Technology software and hardware professionals will be benefit
- Experience of implementing IT specific systems and solutions across IT functions
