Power BI Developer @ ZINFI

Job Description

• Enhance and optimize existing Power BI reports and dashboards to improve performance and user experience.

• Create visually compelling, interactive, and insightful dashboards to meet business needs.

• Connect Power BI to various data sources, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.

• Onboard and train 2-3 new developers in Power BI development and best practices.

• Share knowledge and ensure the team adheres to standard development practices.

• Provide ongoing support to team members as they develop their skills.

• Collaborate with the product team to understand the integration of Power BI reports into the embedded version.

• Ensure reports are optimized for embedding, even if prior expertise in embedded Power BI is not required.

• Work closely with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.

• Regularly communicate progress and gather feedback to refine outputs.

• Troubleshoot and resolve performance issues in Power BI reports and datasets.

• Optimize DAX queries and data models for efficiency and scalability.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development and dashboard/report design.

• Strong experience with DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.

• Proficiency in connecting Power BI to various data sources (SQL, Azure, etc.).

• Strong understanding of ETL processes and working with large datasets.

• Ability to optimize Power BI reports for performance and usability.

• Ability to implement various types of role-based security through proper data modeling and filtration.

• Strong knowledge of Power BI data modeling and expertise in working with diverse data sources and data lakes.

• Familiarity with Power BI Embedded services and API integration.

• Familiarity with Power Apps integration and custom visuals creation using R/Python.

• Experience in Azure services such as Azure SQL Database or Azure Data Factory.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to mentor and train junior developers effectively.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
