Job Title: Manager - Derivative Services

As Manager - Derivative Services, you will lead a team responsible for managing Exchange-Traded and OTC derivatives, including transaction processing, margining, collateral management, and reconciliation. Supporting global investment desks, this role involves close collaboration with internal teams (Investment and Trading) and external stakeholders (brokers, custodians, and third-party administrators). You will drive operational excellence, proactively manage risk, guide team development, and implement continuous improvements aligned with regulatory and market changes.
Key Responsibilities Team Leadership & Operational OversightLead and manage day-to-day operations related to derivative trade confirmation, settlement, and reconciliation.
Oversee daily margin and collateral management processes across clearing and prime brokers.
Allocate resources effectively, plan team workload, and ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Serve as the primary escalation point for brokers, custodians, and internal clients on critical issues.
Monitor and enhance team performance through regular 1:1s, performance appraisals, and mentoring.
Proactively review and improve operational workflows to increase efficiency and mitigate risks.
Identify gaps and implement robust control measures to ensure compliance with operational and regulatory standards.
Maintain awareness of market and regulatory changes and adjust internal procedures accordingly.
Ensure timely escalation and full disclosure of operational risks and issues.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external counterparties.
Communicate effectively across functions, promoting collaboration and service excellence.
Ensure timely reporting and high-quality Management Information (MI) outputs.
10+ years of experience in Derivative Services within asset management, banking, or global custody operations.
Strong technical knowledge of OTC and Exchange-Traded derivatives, and familiarity with major clearing houses.
Deep understanding of operational risk frameworks and internal controls.
Proven experience as a people manager, with a track record of team development and performance management.
Strong numerical and analytical skills, including root cause analysis and MI reporting.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
Working knowledge of ISDA, CSA, and GMRA agreements.
Familiarity with the Aladdin platform.
Experience in managing General Meetings and handling corporate action SWIFT messaging.
Exposure to broader asset management or banking functions, including the end-to-end asset lifecycle.
Project management or business change experience or certification.
Ability to lead through change and foster an innovative, feedback-driven team culture.
