Associate Engineer - Data Scientist
Role Associate Engineer Data Scientist Reporting to AVP Data Scientist Function Technology BIFA Work Location New Delhi Experience 1.5 5 Years
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop optimized Python scripts, ETL workflows and SQL queries to build scalable data pipelines for processing large volumes of data. Responsibilities include data extraction, transformation and collation, as well as constructing data cubes to support advanced reporting and analytics.
Model Development: Build, validate and deploy machine learning models (e.g. propensity models, risk scoring models, fraud detection models, classification models, clustering models) using Python and associated tech stack to drive next-best-action decisions.
Capable of conducting in-depth exploratory data analysis, feature engineering and data visualization using Python libraries and BI tools (e.g. Tableau, Power BI) to explore open-ended problems and generate data-driven insights that inform taxation-related policy decisions.
Translate business problems into well-defined data science tasks and vice-versa.
Effectively communicate complex analytical findings, insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations, reports and dashboards.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including vendors and managed service providers (MSPs), to gather requirements, define problem statements and translate them into integrated data science solutions.
Work closely with different stakeholder to implement/Deploy Statistical/Machine Learning models into production system.
Familiarity with web frameworks and libraries such as Django, Node.js, React or Angular will be considered an added advantage.
Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, scalable and performant applications.
Key Attributes and Skills:
B.Tech/B.E./ME or Equivalent Degree Knowledge in software development. PhD or Advanced degree in Data Science would be added advantage with atleast 1.5 years of work experience in required field i.e. Data Science.
Strong programming skills and a solid mathematical foundation in machine learning and AI algorithms, including a deep understanding of core concepts, data structures and model optimization techniques.
Must have very sound Knowledge in Python (Pandas, NumPy, ML/AI library i.e. pytorch etc.) is must.
Must have knowledge on T-SQL (Transaction SQL), SQL/NoSQL.
Experience with Big Data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop) is advantageous.
