About the Role:
The Azure Network Engineer responsible to design, implement, and manage secure, scalable network solutions in Azure. Youll work with services like Azure Application Gateway and Palo Alto firewalls to ensure reliable connectivity and application delivery. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in cloud environments and enjoys solving complex networking challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Design and Implement Core Networking Infrastructure: Architect and deploy virtual networks, subnets, route tables, and network security groups to support scalable and secure Azure environments.
- Connectivity Services Management: Configure and manage hybrid connectivity solutions including VPN gateways, ExpressRoute, and VNet peering to ensure reliable communication between on-premises and cloud resources.
- Application Delivery Services: Implement and manage Azure Application Gateway, Azure Front Door, and Load Balancers to optimize application performance and availability.
- Private Access to Azure Services: Design and implement private endpoints and service endpoints to securely connect to Azure PaaS services without traversing the public internet.
- Secure Network Connectivity: Apply best practices for network security, including firewall rules, NSGs, and Azure Firewall to protect cloud resources.
- Azure + Palo Alto Integration: Manage and maintain Palo Alto firewalls within Azure, ensuring robust perimeter security and traffic inspection. Collaborate with security teams to enforce policies and monitor threats.
- Monitoring and Optimization: Utilize Azure Monitor, Network Watcher, and third-party tools to monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize configurations.
