Job Description
Tekion is seeking an experienced and data-driven Lead FinOps Analyst to spearhead our cloud financial operations and cost optimization strategy. In this role, you will partner with engineering, product, and finance teams to create a culture of financial accountability, ensuring cost transparency, optimized cloud usage, and strategic planning that aligns with Tekion s fast-paced growth and innovation. This is a full-time, work-from-office role based in our Bangalore office.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
FinOps Strategy Ownership
  • Lead the implementation and evolution of FinOps practices across the organization.
  • Develop frameworks for cloud cost governance, budgeting, forecasting, and usage optimization.
  • Own the strategy and execution of cloud financial reporting and act as a key liaison between technical and finance teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with engineering, DevOps, finance, and procurement teams to drive cloud cost accountability and strategic cloud investment.
  • Align cloud spending with product priorities, while helping stakeholders make data-informed decisions.
  • Support chargeback/ showback models to ensure clear cost allocation and business unit ownership.
Cloud Spend Optimization Analysis
  • Analyze cloud billing data across AWS, Azure, and GCP to identify inefficiencies, track anomalies, and recommend savings opportunities.
  • Manage and optimize pricing models including Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and Spot instances.
  • Improve visibility into cloud spend through effective tagging strategies and cost categorization.
Reporting, Tooling Enablement
  • Design and maintain cloud cost dashboards and reports for executive and engineering teams.
  • Implement and enhance tooling (eg, CloudHealth, Cloudability, AWS Cost Explorer) to automate reporting and drive visibility.
  • Enable self-service cost insights for engineering teams and promote a datadriven culture.
Skills and Experience
E xperience Technical Acumen
  • 6-10 years of experience in FinOps, cloud finance, infrastructure cost management, or related domains.
  • Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and a strong understanding of their pricing, billing, and discounting models.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud cost management platforms, APIs, and automation.
Analytical Strength Business Partnership
  • Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (Power BI, Looker, Tableau).
  • Strong financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting capabilities in cloud environments.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to partner effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
  • FinOps Certified Practitioner or similar certification.
  • Experience in high-growth SaaS or platform-based environments.
  • Background working with Agile, DevOps, or CI/CD-driven organizations.
  • Familiarity with automotive tech is a plus, but not required
  • Strong sense of ownership and drive to deliver.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Proven experience managing and leading customer-facing cloud and finops conversations, with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Experience working in cloud-based environments (eg, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and with microservices architecture.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work crossfunctionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges.
Preferred
  • Experience in automotive or related industries.
  • Hands-on experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • A passion for innovation and staying up-to-date with the latest in software development trends and technologies.
