Linux System Administrator @ Progression Infonet

Job Description

• Installation and management of Linux operating systems and related software stacks for various services to meet the client requirements.
• The configuration of storage including LVM, Linux Software RAID, SFTP.
• Responsible for system administration, installations, upgrades, patches, migrations, and troubleshooting.
• Managed Virtualization Environment using Redhat Virtualization, creating virtual machines, migrating VMs, managing storage and virtual networks.
• Administration of RHEL, Centos Servers, these servers /services in a 24 7 production environment.
• Implementation and administration of Apache, tomcat, and SAMBA.
• Implementing group policy and account policies (In-depth knowledge of policies).
• Managing OS user accounts, created department-wise separate space/folder, and provided limited access in accordance with necessity.
• SSL certificate configuration in web servers like Apache.
• Manage maintain the scheduled backup of Server End-user through backups Solution Cron Jobs.
• Installation and basic administration of Mysql databases.
• RedHat Certified Engineer- Certification is required with 3-4 years of working experience.

Skills Competencies:

• Any Graduate/BCA/BE/MCA/with RHCE certification.

• Additional knowledge of scripting for automation in Linux is also required.

• Ability to work with minimum supervision and a good team player.

• Must possess the ability to analyze situations and provide problem resolution.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
