WheelsEye is a hyper-growth tech logistics startup. We started in 2017 with the idea to empower the Truck Fleet Owners, and enable them and their business via technology.
We started off as a GPS tracking company and today we have created an entire ecosystem of services aimed at transforming truck logistics in India. We are providing fleet owners with a one-stop platform for all their needs: Fastag, Fuel, Credit, Insurance, Maintenance, Marketplace, and more.

About the Role As a Design Lead for the SaaS vertical, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring a team of 6-7 product designers while leading the design efforts across critical PODs such as GPS, Fastag, IoT devices, fuel monitoring, and other SaaS offerings. You will ensure that all design solutions align with business goals, improve the user experience, and maintain design consistency across multiple products.

As WheelsEye continues to scale, our SaaS vertical is expanding rapidly, covering critical offerings such as GPS tracking, Fastag management, IoT devices, fuel monitoring, and more. Each of these products serves a diverse range of truck owners and fleet managers with unique operational challenges and expectations.
To ensure that our products continue to deliver value and drive business growth, we need a Design Manager who can:
- Enhance User Satisfaction: Create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces that improve adoption and ease of use across all SaaS products.
- Ensure Consistency Across Products: Establish and maintain a scalable design system that ensures a seamless experience across multiple applications.
- Drive Innovation and Efficiency: Lead design initiatives that optimize critical workflows such as GPS monitoring, Fastag management, and IoT device operations.
- Mentor and Empower the Design Team: Manage and mentor a team of 6-7 product designers, ensuring high-quality output while fostering a culture of ownership and continuous learning.
In short, we need a design leader who can elevate the overall experience of our SaaS vertical, ensuring that WheelsEye remains the go-to platform for truck owners and logistics businesses across India.
Experience Required
- 6-10 years of experience in product design, with a proven track record of designing and delivering customer-facing internet/software product companies
- Experience managing and mentoring design teams of 5+ designers, with a focus on fostering growth, ownership, and high-quality output.
- Proficiency in UX research and usability testing to gather insights and drive user-centered design decisions.
- Strong expertise in UI and visual design with a deep understanding of typography, color theory, and maintaining brand consistency across applications.
What Are the Key Skills Required for the Role
- Lead UX Research: Plan, conduct, and analyze user research to uncover pain points, needs, and behaviors, ensuring designs are rooted in user insights.
- Design User-Centric Solutions: Develop intuitive user flows, wireframes, and high-fidelity prototypes for SaaS products that improve the overall user experience.
- Enhance Visual Design and UI Consistency: Establish and maintain a cohesive design system, ensuring visual consistency across all SaaS applications.
- Collaborate Effectively: Work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to align design solutions with business objectives.
- Mentor and Develop the Design Team: Provide guidance, feedback, and support to the design team, encouraging ownership and continuous learning.
