What are we looking for
We are seeking a skilled Linux Mac Specialist for SentinelOne Products on NON-Windows Platforms like Linux Mac to manage, optimize, and secure Linux-based systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and security hardening of Linux servers and workstations. This role requires a deep understanding of system administration, scripting, automation, and networking.
Please note that this role requires attending our Bangalore office (Global Technology Park) twice per week.
What will you do
Proficiency: Install, configure, and maintain Linux Mac-based servers and workstations.
Performance Optimization: Identify performance issue/ bottlenecks on a high performing / high availability SAAS environment.
Automation Scripting: Develop scripts (Bash, Python, Ansible, etc.) to automate system administration tasks.
Troubleshooting Support: Diagnose and resolve system, application, and network issues in a timely manner.
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to support IT infrastructure needs and DevOps processes.
Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides.
What skills or knowledge should you bring
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Linux in performance and troubleshooting system administration.
Technical Expertise:
Strong knowledge of Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, Red Hat, Debian, etc.).
Experience with server virtualization (VMware, KVM, Proxmox).
Proficiency in shell scripting (Bash) and automation tools (Ansible, Puppet, Terraform).
Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SSH, VPN).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus.
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Good communication and documentation skills.
