UX/UI DESIGNER
We are seeking an exceptional UX/UI Designer to join our team at StudyNow Ltd. In this critical role, you will shape the user experience and interface of our application system, ensuring it meets the diverse needs of students, agents, and administrators. This position demands a professional who thrives in user-centred design, excels in collaboration with cross-functional teams, and can deliver visually stunning, functional, and accessible designs.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education: Bachelor s degree in UX/UI Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or a related field.
Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in UX/UI design, preferably in APPLICATION portals, EdTech platforms, or SaaS applications.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design processes, from user research to final implementations.
Proven track record of improving product usability and delivering designs aligned with user needs and business goals.
KEY TOOLS & TECHNOLOGIES:
Design Tools: Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch (proficiency in at least one is required).
Accessibility Standards: WCAG 2.1 guidelines for inclusive design.
Collaboration Tools: Jira, Monday.com, Slack (or equivalent project management platforms).
Prototyping & Testing: InVision, Marvel, or Figma for clickable prototypes and usability testing.
Front-End Knowledge: Basic HTML5 and CSS3 for better collaboration with developers.
KEY DELIVERABLES
User research insights, personas, and journey maps.
Interactive prototypes and annotated wireframes.
Accessibility-compliant design components.
Usability test plans, reports, and implemented improvements.
Comprehensive design systems and style guides for developers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. User-Centred Design
Conduct user research, interviews, and surveys to understand key personas pain points, workflows, and goals (students, agents, and admins).
Develop user personas, journey maps, and workflows to guide design decisions.
Advocate for the user at all stages of the design process, balancing their needs with business objectives.
2. Design Systems(thinking), Wireframes, and Prototypes
Create and maintain a comprehensive design system that ensures consistency across all APPLICATION interfaces.
Develop detailed low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups to represent design concepts.
Deliver clickable prototypes for usability testing and development team handoff.
3. Accessibility and Inclusivity
Design interfaces compliant with WCAG 2.1 standards, ensuring accessibility for users with disabilities.
Collaborate with developers to implement accessibility features, such as keyboard navigation and screen-reader compatibility.
Perform accessibility audits and make iterative improvements to maintain compliance.
4. Usability Testing and Iteration
Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to evaluate the APPLICATIONs design and functionality.
Gather qualitative and quantitative feedback from users and stakeholders.
Iterate on designs based on testing results, ensuring continuous improvement in user experience.
5. Collaboration with Development Teams
Work closely with front-end developers to ensure seamless integration of design specifications into code.
Provide detailed documentation, including annotated wireframes, design systems, and style guides.
Act as a bridge between the design and development teams to resolve any implementation challenges.
6. Data Visualization and Dashboard Design
Create intuitive dashboards and data visualization elements that enhance user comprehension and decision-making.
Optimize layouts to prioritize key information and actionable insights for admins and agents.
7. Stakeholder Communication
Present design concepts and workflows to stakeholders, including non-technical audiences.
Gather feedback from stakeholders and incorporate their requirements into the design process.
