It is a tech-enabled cross-border specialty chemicals marketplace. Our vision is to become the largest global speciality chemicals distributor focussing on discovery and fulfillment using a tech-first approach. 

Chemicals is an extremely important large and fragmented market with multiple inefficiencies in cross border trade. The global speciality chemicals market is $800bn growing at a CAGR of 5.7%. The industry faces glaring challenges including lack of trust, excessive lead times, quality uncertainty, lack of transparency and tons of operational challenges.

In the past 20 months of the company's operation, we have scaled up our operations serving in more than 32 countries and have active partnerships with more than 100s of customers and suppliers. The company has raised a total of upwards of $7.5mn from marquee investors like InfoEdge Ventures, Prime Venture Partners and from promoters of companies like Vinati Organics, Laxmi Organics, and Coromandel International.

Our highly ambitious team comprises alumni from IITs, IIMs, NITs and have extensive experience of working in startups as well as multinational companies. Position Overview

We are looking for a Core Team Member - Supply Chain & Logistics to oversee and optimize our end-to-end supply chain processes. This role is critical in building and maintaining one of companies key competitive advantages in the cross-border trade industry.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can think big like a founder, has high ownership and likes taking up new challenges
  • Can roll up his sleeves and doesn't shy away from getting his hands dirty
  • Is great at problem-solving and has a knack for figuring out solutions to ambiguous situations
  • Is curious and can think through first principles - What we are trying to build has not been built by
  • anyone, hence thinking from first principles is extremely critical
  • Loves speed - We are a very young company and strongly believe that speed is the biggest moat for startups
  • Is comfortable with failure and running experiments - we will experiment a lot, and are humble enough to accept failures and move ahead
  • High on integrity - Doesnt get swayed away by quick wins and shortcuts
  • Understand the role of technology and can drive innovation in supply chain and logistics through software and AI
  • Can think through structures, SOPs and processes and drive them within the team
  • Is comfortable working with constrained resources - we embrace frugality and would love someone who aligns with it

Roles and Responsibilities:

Supply Chain Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute comprehensive supply chain strategies that align with the companys goals and support high-level decision-making
  • Take ownership of monthly targets, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive alignment and achieve company objectives

Team Development and Management

  • Lead, manage, and scale a growing supply chain team, ensuring they have the resources, support, and guidance needed to achieve their goals
  • Foster a high-performance team culture through mentoring, training, and development to support individual growth and meet business objectives along with performance management
  • Identify, recruit, and develop top talent in the supply chain domain, continuously grooming team members to align with the company's goals and core values

Supply Chain Operations Oversight

  • Oversee all aspects of the supply chain, including documentation, freight forwarding, customs compliance, transportation, warehousing, quality assurance, sample shipments, and customer support
  • Maintain robust controls over QA/QC and product packaging to ensure exceptional customer experiences
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, acquiring and maintaining necessary certifications (such as AEO, ISO, Status Holder, Factory Stung, etc.)

Vendor and Stakeholder Management

  • Build and nurture strong relationships with a diverse range of vendors, including freight forwarders, CHAs, transporters, warehousing partners, quality control laboratories, and shipping lines
  • Develop and strengthen partnerships with government and non-government bodies (e.g., FIEO, Chemexcil, CII) to support the companys strategic initiatives

Cost Optimization and Process Improvement

  • Optimize freight rates and minimize costs while maintaining high service quality across all supply chain processes
  • Drive process improvements to reduce bottlenecks and minimize shipment turnaround times, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team. Technological Innovation
  • Lead technological advancements within the supply chain, including the adoption of software solutions to enhance operational eciency and scalability

Skills and Qualifications:


  • 5-10 years of experience in cross border supply chain, operations, and/or logistics
  • Proven track record of managing a team and working closely with the leadership
  • Preferably, experienced in working in chemicals supply chain
  • Preferably, experienced in working with US forwarders, brokers and warehousing companies
  • Familiarity with night shift operations management
  • Demonstrated ability to build organisational structures and hire eactively

* This role will involve managing team members working night shifts to support US operations
