We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Delivery Manager with expertise in the Windows tech stack to lead hands-on technical implementation and end-to-end delivery of IT infrastructure projects. This role combines deep technical proficiency with project management capabilities to ensure the smooth design, deployment, and operation of critical Windows-based systems.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing technical delivery while contributing directly to system design, troubleshooting, and optimization.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
Oversee the design, deployment, and management of Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022), including Active Directory (AD), Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and ADFS.
Lead Azure IaaS/PaaS implementation and optimization, including Azure AD Connect, Entra (Azure AD), and Office 365 integration.
Manage virtualization platforms such as VMware (ESX, Horizon) and Hyper-V, ensuring performance, scalability, and availability.
Configure and maintain backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, enterprise backup systems) and disaster recovery processes.
Must have automation tools like PowerShell to streamline infrastructure management.
Delivery Management:
Plan and execute infrastructure projects, including server migrations, upgrades, cloud transitions, and hybrid deployments.
Ensure timely and successful delivery of IT solutions, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to define project scope and align deliverables with business objectives.
Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and security standards.
System Optimization:
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows Server, Azure, VMware, and other infrastructure components.
Optimize the performance of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and Remote Desktop Services (RDS).
Security & Compliance:
Enforce security best practices, including patch management, PKI certificate handling, and vulnerability assessments.
Configure and maintain email security tools (Proofpoint, DMARC, SPF) and ensure compliance with organizational security policies.
Team Collaboration & Mentorship:
Lead and mentor technical teams, providing guidance on Windows technologies and infrastructure projects.
Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
Conduct training sessions for junior administrators and IT staff to build technical capabilities.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Windows infrastructure management, including hands-on technical work and project delivery.
- At least 3 years of experience in a leadership role managing infrastructure projects.
- Expertise in Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022) and Active Directory architecture.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Azure (IaaS/PaaS), including Azure AD, Office 365, and hybrid cloud solutions.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms like VMware (ESX, Horizon) and Hyper-V.
- Strong scripting skills with PowerShell and familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Puppet, Ansible).
- In-depth knowledge of backup and recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam) and disaster recovery planning.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs) and security best practices.
Certifications (Preferred):
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect.
- VMware Certified Professional (VCP).
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE).
- ITIL Foundation or equivalent.
