Windows Server Administrator @ Softenger

Job Description

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Windows Server Administrator with 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience. The ideal candidate should have strong foundational knowledge in Windows Server environments, Active Directory, virtualization platforms, system monitoring, and backup management.

Role & responsibilities

• Install and rebuild servers; configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, and storage.
  
• Administer and support Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022.
  
• Monitor system health, review system and application logs, and schedule jobs.
  
• Perform backup and recovery tasks using tools like NetBackup, Veeam, or Bacula.
  
• Work with NAS storage systems such as NetApp or EMC for basic storage operations.
  
• Apply patches and updates using BigFix or equivalent patch management tools.
  
• Support virtualization platforms like VMware, Hyper-V, or Nutanixincluding VM creation and snapshot management.
  
• Manage user accounts and perform basic tasks in Active Directory.
