Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain WebFOCUS reports, dashboards, and portals.
• Collaborate with business users to gather requirements and convert them into scalable BI solutions.
• Optimize queries, reports, and portal performance to ensure a seamless user experience.
• Maintain and administer the WebFOCUS environment, including upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting.
• Integrate WebFOCUS with various data sources such as Oracle, SQL Server, and flat files.
• Ensure data security, access controls, and compliance standards are implemented in the BI solutions.
• Document system design, technical specifications, and user manuals.
• Participate in UAT, performance testing, and deployment processes.
• Work closely with data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment of deliverables.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with WebFOCUS (8.x or higher).
• Proficiency in InfoAssist, App Studio, ReportCaster, and WebFOCUS Designer.
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of data warehousing concepts.
• Experience working with OLAP, ETL pipelines, and data models.
• Solid understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS for custom report development.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and DevOps practices.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of REST APIs and WebFOCUS API integrations.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies and collaborative tools like JIRA or Confluence.
• Certification in Information Builders WebFOCUS (preferred but not mandatory).
