We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Java Developer Lead to join our dynamic team in Bangalore or Mumbai. This role is ideal for a seasoned Java professional with strong leadership qualities and a passion for building high-performance applications. As a Java Developer Lead, you will take ownership of technical strategy, mentor developers, and lead the end-to-end development lifecycle.
You ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, engage in architecture design, and ensure that our applications meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of Java developers, ensuring adherence to coding best practices and development standards.
- Define software architecture and design scalable, maintainable systems.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define technical project scopes.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and facilitate regular knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Drive the adoption of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices across the team.
- Engage in hands-on development and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Monitor project timelines, manage resources, and ensure timely delivery.
- Stay updated with industry trends and integrate relevant innovations into our solutions.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field; Master s degree is a plus.
- Experience: 6-9 years of hands-on experience in Java development, including team leadership.
- Expertise in:
- Core Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate
- Database technologies: MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.
- Software design principles and architectural patterns
- Bonus Skills:
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Understanding of front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Java Programmer)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Ability to lead with a proactive, hands-on approach
- Agile mindset and experience working in Scrum/Kanban environments
