mindcraft Software Pvt Ltd is looking for WAS Admin to join our dynamic team and embark on a rewarding career journey A WebSphere Application Server (WAS) Administrator is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of IBM WebSphere Application Server, which is a leading Java EE-based application server used to host and manage enterprise applications. The role of a WAS Admin typically includes the following responsibilities:Installation and Configuration: Installing and configuring WebSphere Application Server on various operating systems, such as Windows, Linux, and Unix. This involves setting up the necessary environment variables, creating profiles, and configuring the server settings. Deployment and Application Management: Managing the deployment of applications onto the WebSphere Application Server. This includes configuring application-specific settings, managing application resources, and troubleshooting deployment issues. Server Administration: Monitoring and managing the WebSphere Application Server instances. This involves starting and stopping servers, managing server resources, configuring server clusters, and ensuring server availability and performance. Performance Tuning and Optimization: Analyzing the performance of WebSphere Application Server and its hosted applications, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing performance tuning strategies. This may include adjusting server configurations, optimizing application code, and configuring caching mechanisms. Security and Access Control: Implementing security measures to protect the WebSphere Application Server and the applications it hosts. This includes configuring secure communication protocols, managing user authentication and authorization, and ensuring compliance with security standards.
