Job Description

Role & responsibilities

• nstall, configure, and maintain MongoDB database systems (standalone, replica sets, and sharded clusters).
  
• Monitor database performance, implement improvements, and resolve bottlenecks.
  
• Ensure high availability and disaster recovery planning (backups, replication, and failover).
  
• Manage database users, roles, and access control in accordance with security policies.
  
• Support schema design, data modeling, and document structure best practices.
  
• Automate routine database tasks using scripts or tools.
  
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
  
• Monitor and maintain MongoDB databases using tools like MongoDB Ops Manager, Atlas, or open-source alternatives (e.g., MMS, Prometheus/Grafana).
  
• Troubleshoot performance issues, database outages, and data consistency issues.
  
• Maintain database documentation and participate in code reviews for queries and database interaction layers.
