We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineer
In this role, you will:
Detailed test planning, allocation and monitoring project related work assigned to the team
Understand and implement project scope within defined timelines
Monitor and guide the team in project execution
Responsible for adherence to relevant organizational processes
Deliver onetime with expected quality standards
Co-ordinate with test manager/onsite coordinator for issues resolution
Conduct test design walk throughs and reviews
Responsible for test traceability matrix (tracing the test-procedures to the test requirements)
Hands on with test preparation and execution
Ensure that test environment is available and setup correctly for test execution
Ensure test data is available and setup correctly for test execution
Identify potential risks and suggest mitigation plan
Ensure that the test project documentation is complete and updated
Responsible for status reporting and test metrics reporting
Responsible for defect management
Co-ordinate change management activities
Co-ordinate defect prevention activities
Implement test process improvements resulting from lessons learnt
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
More than 2-4 years of IT experience
Sound understanding of software development and software testing lifecycles
Ability to plan tasks
Ability to guide and manage teams effectively
Familiar with test program concerns including test data management, trouble reporting and resolution, test design and test development
Understands application business area and application requirements
Functional expertise in the Banking area
Expert in either Payment domain or non-Payment domain
Understanding of the relevant technology domains
Expertise in software testing tools including test management tools and defect tracking tools like QC and JIRA
Knowledge of automation tools is desirable especially on TOSCA and xFramework
Experienced in AS400
Flexible approach in dealing with people and situations
High degree of interpersonal and communication skills
