Role & responsibilities

This individual will oversee strategies to promote a positive workplace culture, handle conflict resolution, guide HR compliance, and foster employee engagement while mitigating risk. They will collaborate with senior leadership and HR teams to ensure fair and consistent treatment of employees and support a productive work environment.

Integrated HR and Financial Leadership: Successfully managed [X]-member HR and accounts teams, ensuring seamless alignment of payroll, benefits, and financial policies to optimize operational efficiency.

  • Oversee and manage employee disputes, investigations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Provide expertise in resolving grievances, mediating conflicts, and handling sensitive issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for all employee relations cases to ensure legal and procedural compliance.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, fostering open communication and trust.
  • Assess potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate legal and reputational risks.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior leadership on employee relations metrics, trends, and initiatives.
  • Strategic thinking and ability to align employee relations strategies with business goals.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and reporting tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Experience in managing employee relations in multi-state or global organizations.
  • Audit Compliance: Streamlined HR and accounting practices to maintain 100% compliance with labor laws and financial reporting regulations

Preferred candidate profile

  • Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEO, NLRA).
  • Strong conflict resolution, mediation, and investigative skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities.
  • HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR) are a plus.
