Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Java Backend Developer with 8 -10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Core Java, Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance backend applications. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain backend services using Java (Core Java, Java 11+), Spring Boot, and PostgreSQL .
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Optimize database queries and ensure efficient data retrieval from PostgreSQL .
- Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following best practices.
- Work closely with frontend developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to define and implement application features.
- Ensure security, performance, and scalability of applications.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to improve system quality.
- Implement unit tests and integration tests to ensure reliability and stability.
- Contribute to technical documentation and system design discussions.
- 8-10 years of hands-on experience in Java backend development .
- Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 11+), OOPs concepts.
- Expertise in Spring Boot and related Spring ecosystem ( Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security, etc. ).
- Experience working with PostgreSQL , including writing complex queries, performance tuning, and indexing.
- Understanding of Microservices architecture and experience with API development.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services is a plus.
- Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito), Automation frameworks like BDD(Cucumber) and logging frameworks (SLF4J, Logback).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an Agile environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.
- Knowledge of GraphQL is a bonus.
