Gcp Data Engineer @ Klaxontech

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform's data services, building scalable data pipelines, and implementing modern data architecture solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement data lake solutions using GCP Storage and Data Transfer Service
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for data processing and transformation
• Orchestrate complex data workflows using Cloud Composer (managed Apache Airflow)
• Build and optimize BigQuery data models and implement data governance practices
• Configure and maintain Dataplex for unified data management across our organization
• Implement monitoring solutions using Cloud Monitoring to ensure data pipeline reliability
• Create and maintain data visualization solutions using Looker for business stakeholders
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to deliver high-quality data products

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of hands-on experience with GCP data services including:
• Cloud Storage and Storage Transfer Service for data lake implementation
• BigQuery for data warehousing and analytics
• Cloud Composer for workflow orchestration
• Dataplex for data management and governance
• Cloud Monitoring for observability and alerting
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline development
• Proficiency in SQL and at least one programming language (Python preferred)
• Experience with Looker or similar BI/visualization tools
• Knowledge of data modeling and dimensional design principles
• Experience implementing data quality monitoring and validation

Preferred Qualifications

• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer certification
• Experience with streaming data processing using Dataflow or Pub/Sub
• Knowledge of data mesh or data fabric architectures
• Experience with dbt or similar transformation tools
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices for data pipelinesRole & responsibilities
