Job Description
Location: Tanzania
Designation: Production Planning Executive/Manager
Department: Tissue Paper Manufacturing
Salary Range: USD 1,200 and above (depending on experience)

Job Summary:
Responsible for effective scheduling, material forecasting, and coordination of manufacturing activities in the tissue paper unit. The role focuses on maximizing utilization of machines, manpower, and materials while minimizing waste and meeting production targets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop daily/weekly/monthly plans aligned with sales forecasts
- Optimize machine scheduling and delivery timelines
- Coordinate with sales and dispatch teams
- Raw Material & Inventory Management
- Ensure availability of raw materials (jumbo rolls, cores, adhesives, packaging)
- Maintain inventory levels and monitor wastage
- Capacity & Resource Planning
- Allocate machinery/manpower based on demand
- Plan shift schedules/overtime and maintenance coordination
- Coordination & Communication
- Collaborate with procurement, warehouse, quality, and dispatch
- Report planning constraints to management
- Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain efficiency and variance reports
- Track machine downtime and OEE metricsQuality & Compliance
- Ensure production quality and compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental norms
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- On-time production completion (%)
- Machine utilization rate
- Raw material yield vs. standard
- Inventory turnover rate
- Downtime reduction %
- Production vs. plan variance
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelors/Diploma in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 37 years of experience in production planning (preferably tissue paper or FMCG)
- Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel
- Working knowledge of paper converting machinery (slitters, rewinders, embossers)
