Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Content Licensing & Syndication (Domestic):
- License Shemaroos extensive content libraryincluding Bollywood movies, regional films, classic TV shows, and acquired international titlesto OTT platforms, broadcasters, and digital aggregators in India.
- Structure and negotiate licensing and syndication deals across TVOD, SVOD, and AVOD models.
- Strategically pitch content packages aligned with partner needs, release calendars, and platform content gaps.
Key Account Management Amazon Prime Video (India):
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all content licensing and syndication with Amazon Prime Video India.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with Amazons content acquisition, editorial, and operations teams.
- Pitch curated content line-ups based on platform performance, genre requirements, and consumer trends.
- Track and optimize performance of Shemaroo content on Amazon Prime (views, engagement, renewal potential).
Content Tracking & Performance Analytics:
- Maintain accurate trackers for licensed titles, rights windows, content categories, and territory/platform usage.
- Monitor content performance across Amazon Prime and other domestic platforms to identify trends and upsell opportunities.
- Collaborate with data teams to produce regular insights and reports for internal stakeholders.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams: content acquisition, legal, operations, metadata, and marketing to ensure smooth execution of content delivery and contractual obligations.
- Support marketing initiatives to promote Shemaroo content on partner platforms.
Preferred candidate profile
- 58 years of experience in content licensing, syndication, or media distribution within India.
- Prior experience managing relationships with key OTT platforms, especially Amazon Prime Video.
- Strong understanding of content licensing models, rights management, and media contract structures.
- Familiarity with Indian entertainment content, including Bollywood, regional cinema, classic shows, and international film libraries.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills
