Job Description
We are seeking detail-oriented and proactive Automation Quality Test Engineers with at least 2 years of hands-on experience in test automation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks, ensuring software quality and performance. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and QA team members in a fast-paced Agile environment.
Roles & Responsibilities:-
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand application requirements and user stories.
- Execute automated test cases and analyze results to identify software defects.
- Maintain and enhance test automation frameworks and continuous integration pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to test strategy, test planning, and test case creation.
- Perform regression, functional, integration, and performance testing.
- Log defects in tools like JIRA, and work with developers to resolve issues.
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
Preferred candidate profile:-
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in automation testing.
- Strong knowledge of Java or Python (or any other language used in automation).
- Proficient in automation tools such as:
- Selenium WebDriver
- TestNG or JUnit
- Postman or Rest Assured for API testing
- Experience with version control systems (Git).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo).
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
- Experience using test management tools like TestRail, Zephyr, or Xray is a plus.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of BDD tools like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
- Basic knowledge of SQL and database testing.
- Experience with performance testing tools like JMeter is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
