the marketplace.
The outdoor recreation industry includes fishing, wildlife, boating, water sports, snow sports, hunting, ATV, hiking,
and biking. We are starting with the fishing vertical in the outdoor recreation industry. The product manager will
work with professional guides throughout the United States and enthusiasts in all fishing varieties.
Key Responsibilities: Heap Implementation & Management.
Own end-to-end management of Heap: event tracking, custom properties, naming conventions, and data
governance.
Partner with product and engineering to ensure consistent and accurate instrumentation across platforms
(web/app).
Continuously audit and optimize tracking to ensure data cleanliness and trust.
Data Analysis & Insights
Analyze user behavior to identify friction points, drop-offs, and opportunities to improve product UX and
conversion.
Build dashboards, reports, and segments to track feature adoption, funnels, cohort behavior, and
retention.
Drive experimentation and A/B testing strategy, partnering closely with product managers and designers.
Strategic Impact
Translate data into actionable recommendations that influence product roadmap, marketing strategies,
and go-to-market decisions.
Support OKR tracking with real-time dashboards and periodic reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Heap Analytics
Strong experience setting up and using Heap for tracking and analysis
Event Tracking
Knows how to create, manage, and clean up event data
SQL
Can write queries to get answers from raw data
Data Dashboards
Can build clear reports using tools like Heap
A/B Testing
Understands how to run experiments and interpret results
