Job Description
Role & responsibilities
Database Development & Optimization
Design and develop efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and views for ClickHouse.
Optimize database performance, indexes, and partitioning strategies for high-volume data.
Work on ClickHouse distributed queries.
Data Modeling & Architecture
Design scalable data models for analytical workloads.
Implement best practices for schema design in ClickHouse.
Manage large-scale datasets and ensure efficient data storage and retrieval.
ETL & Data Processing
Develop and optimize ETL pipelines using ClickHouse and other data processing tools.
Integrate data from various sources, including real-time data ingestion.
Automate data transformations and ensure data integrity.
Collaboration & Documentation
Work closely with data engineers, software developers, and business analysts to understand data requirements.
Document database schemas, queries, and best practices.
Provide support and training to internal teams on ClickHouse usage.
Preferred candidate profile
- SQL Proficiency: Advanced SQL skills with expertise in writing efficient queries, indexing, and query optimization.
- ClickHouse Expertise: Hands-on experience in ClickHouse database administration, query optimization, and performance tuning.
- Database Design: Strong understanding of relational and columnar database architectures, normalization, and denormalization.
- Big Data & Analytics: Knowledge of working with large datasets, OLAP workloads, and analytical queries.
- Performance Tuning: Experience in query execution plans, materialized views, and parallel processing in ClickHouse.
- Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in real-time analytics, log processing, or time-series databases.
Exposure to other databases like PostgreSQL, MSSQL, or Clickhouse is a plus.
