About the Role
We are seeking an experienced SAP Hybris Commerce Developer with 5 to 10 years of expertise in building, enhancing, and optimizing B2B and B2C eCommerce solutions for Retail, Manufacturing, and CPG industries. The ideal candidate will have deep technical knowledge in SAP Commerce Cloud, strong integration experience with ERP/CRM systems, and a proven track record in delivering scalable eCommerce platforms.
Key Responsibilities
1. Hybris Development & Customization
- Design, develop, and enhance SAP Hybris Commerce Cloud solutions for B2B/B2C/Marketplace models.
- Customize modules including Product Catalog, Pricing, Promotions, Order Management, Checkout, Cart, and Customer Experience for industry-specific needs.
- Extend Hybris OOTB functionalities to support complex product hierarchies, bulk ordering, and personalized pricing.
- Implement customer-specific pricing, promotions, and recommendation engines to drive engagement.
2. Integration & API Development
- Integrate SAP Hybris Commerce with SAP S/4HANA, ERP, CRM (SAP Customer Experience), WMS, and OMS for seamless operations.
- Develop and manage RESTful APIs, OCC (Omni-Commerce Connect) services for third-party system integrations.
- Connect Hybris with payment gateways, tax engines (Avalara, Vertex), fraud detection services, and loyalty programs.
- Enable real-time inventory visibility by integrating with warehouse and supply chain systems.
3. Performance, Security & Scalability
- Optimize Hybris for high traffic, peak load handling (Black Friday, Diwali sales), and omnichannel commerce.
- Implement scalability and performance tuning using CDN (Akamai, Cloudflare), Solr search optimization.
- Develop multi-region multi-country, multi-currency, and multi-language eCommerce storefronts.
- Ensure security compliance (OAuth, JWT authentication, PCI-DSS) for secure transactions.
4. Agile Development & DevOps
- Work in an Agile/Scrum environment, delivering high-quality commerce solutions.
- Assist in CI/CD automation using Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes for cloud deployments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Implement A/B testing, feature toggling, and analytics-driven improvements.
5. Testing & Post-Go-Live Support
- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for smooth rollouts.
- Provide post-deployment support, debugging, and performance monitoring.
Required Skills & Qualifications
1. Core Technical Skills
- 5 to 10 years of experience in SAP Hybris Commerce (SAP Commerce Cloud).
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JSP, JavaScript, and Hybris framework.
- Experience in:
- Retail: SmartEdit, Pricing & Promotions, Assisted Service Module (ASM).
- Manufacturing: B2B Commerce, RFQ (Request for Quote), Partner Portals.
- CPG: Subscription Models, Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Commerce, Analytics & Customer Engagement.
- Hands-on experience with SmartEdit, Backoffice Cockpits, Hybris Accelerator Storefronts.
- Good knowledge of Solr Search, MySQL, Apache Tomcat, and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Spartacus (Headless Commerce UI - Angular) experience is a plus.
2. Integration & Middleware
- Strong experience in integrating SAP Hybris with SAP S/4HANA, ERP, PIM, OMS, and third-party applications.
- Knowledge of SAP CPI (Cloud Platform Integration), GraphQL, Kafka, RabbitMQ.
3. Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for industry-specific challenges.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in client-facing roles.
- Team player with an agile mindset and ability to adapt to evolving business needs.
4. Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) for mobile commerce.
- Exposure to AI/ML-driven personalization and recommendation engines.
- Knowledge of Headless Commerce architecture and Microservices.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- SAP Commerce Cloud certification is a plus.
