Job Description
Role & responsibilities
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, creating reports, and providing insights to support decision-making processes. The role requires strong analytical skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and a solid understanding of financial principles.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Analysis: Collect, analyze, and interpret financial data to provide actionable insights.
Reporting: Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to support management decision-making.
Data Management: Ensure data integrity and accuracy by regularly reviewing and validating financial data.
Performance Tracking: Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and trends.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in data analysis and reporting.
Collaboration: Work closely with finance, accounting, and other departments to gather requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
Preferred candidate profile
Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in data analysis, preferably within the finance dept.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL/ MYSQL.
Knowledge of Business Finance.
Knowledge of programming languages such as Python is a plus.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present findings to non-technical stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
