Job Description

Newton is looking for a designer who can translate strategy, business requirements and usability best practices into high-quality, customer-centric designs that support and reinforce Affles vision for service oriented enterprise design, brand, and business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • 3+ years Professional UX/UI Design experience (portfolio necessary). Those with formal qualifications will be given higher priority.
  • Collaborate across UX teams, product teams, project owners, and other groups to understand business requirements and propose innovative solutions followed by generation of assets.
  • Lead complex projects from beginning to end as a subject matter expert to align with stakeholders and ensure optimal UX with on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure that design concepts are feasible and implemented in a consistent manner with prototypes.
  • Provide regular updates to the lead designer and managers about status of projects.
  • Work closely with the in-house teams to ensure that UX is in line with client expectations and exceeds industry standards.
  • Proficiency in using Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, Sketch, and other design tools.
  • Proficiency in video editing tools such as After Effects, Premiere pro etc.
  • Articulate design and efforts rationale in discussions and in presentations.
  • Uphold quality of delivery using design thinking rationale, design research, and example led design.
  • Manage priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast environment with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile, environment using agile tools such as Jira, Basecamp.
  • Awareness of the latest trends in design such as Neumorphism, material design, etc

Required Skills:

  • Take on end-to-end ownership for the design deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders for design deliverables for all user types.
  • Balance user experience, business needs, technical feasibility, and time-to-market required.
  • Architect, Design and Support new interfaces/experiences by creating low and high-fidelity wireframes, mockups and prototypes.
  • Champion customer-centric, responsive/adaptive design methodologies.
  • Collaborate with UX researchers to test concepts, perform task and user analysis, and assist with user acceptance testing.
  • Navigate cross-functionally to form partnerships and work closely with project managers and engineering teams to drive experience vision and ensure high quality design implementation through product lifecycle and releases.
  • Develop lean design practices and processes to maintain quality and efficiency of deliverables
