Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon @ Emc Hospitals

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialist orthopedic assessment, diagnosis, and surgical treatment for patients.
  
• Perform elective and trauma surgeries, including joint replacements, fracture management, arthroscopy, and other subspecialty procedures.
  
• Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary clinical team including junior doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, and allied health professionals.
  
• Participate in outpatient clinics and pre-/post-operative patient care.
  
• Maintain high standards of clinical governance, patient safety, and record keeping.
  
• Take part in on-call duties and manage emergency orthopedic cases as required.
  
• Contribute to service development, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives.
  
• Support training and mentoring of junior medical staff and students.
  
• Engage in continuing professional development (CPD) and maintain professional certification.
  
• Comply with all legal, professional, and ethical standards, including GMC guidelines.
